Khe Sanh Coffee Facts

 

  1. 1850s coffee starts in North – Central Vietnam (Quang Tri included)
  2. With tempreature. 18  – 25 celsius degrees, humidity. 90-97%, 500 metres above sea level, Khe
    Sanh is well suited for Arabica * Catimor
  3. Arabica * Cartimor offers delightful fragrant, light sour flavor with double cost than Robusta
  4. Ones mix Arabica * Cartimor to Robusta coffee for aroma
  5. 4,000 hectares coffee. 80% coffee farm is in Huong Hoa ( Patang, Huong Loc, Huong Phung)
  6. 60 – 70 kgs/ tree/year
  7. 18 and 32 tones of fresh cherries/ hectare
  8. Quang Tri, Vietnam is famed Arabica coffee producer
  9. Van Kieu hill-tribe, main native labor
  10. GTZ supports folks  improving Khe Sanh coffee quality & Sustainability ( Germany)
